Wind Wand - a New Plymouth icon

Wind Wand

Icon of New Plymouth is this Quirky Sculpture that glows at night. A Kinetic Sculpture conceived by Len Lye, and realised by the Len Lye Foundation based on his design. Len Lye is one of New Zealand's most celebrated artists. The wind wand stands on the foreshore of New Plymouth. The 45-metres Red Pole standing tall, it sways mesmerisingly in a gentle breeze & leans over in the strong wind.
